At the time of joining, all teens must be age 13 - 17. We have some 12 year old members who were admitted prior to a change in our policy. Also, we have some teens who have turned 18 since becoming members. We offer a transition period for our 18+ members.

It's important to us to provide some continuity and stability for our teen members. Most of our community is comprised of travelers, so sometimes things can feel transitional and impermanent. We have found that this sometimes inhibits teens from connecting. 

We invite those who are in the area temporarily to join us a one of our library meet-ups, but they are not permitted to become members of the Merida Teens Club.

While there is not cost to be a member of the Merida Teens Club, we do ask all families to contribute. 

We offer classes, meet-ups, events, and other gatherings for our members. Some are no cost and others have an associated cost. 

No, we are not an official non-profit organization. We are a private community of families all aligned in the mission of creating better experiences for our teenagers.
